Marks of Water, Born from Anchorage
The inspiration for the Vintage Time series comes from those retired, tranquil wooden ship planks that have weathered storms. Unlike wood exposed to wind and sun on land, old ship wood exclusively enjoys the conspiracy of water flow and time.
Having been submerged in rivers, lakes, and seas for a long time, they were sculpted by water currents and eroded by clinging algae, forming unique textures and colors that terrestrial wood cannot replicate—water stains bleeding into the surface, mottled mineral deposits, and every wear and mark left from long voyages.
We cherish this memory co-written by time and water ripples, freezing it onto the tile surface, allowing the moored past to be gently narrated once again in the space.
This product can be repurposed through secondary cutting. Its unique pattern design is its defining feature.
